1. We always celebrate winners. We aspire to become one of them. Yet by announcing the sky as the biggest award, and the world as a loser, the poet reverses the common logic of awarding the winners, pointing to the central theme of the poem, to fly a flag for losers—after all, losers are the norm, the majority, the reality. They equally deserve celebrating, and being awarded.
